9″ Pizza Box (Internal Dimensions; 230 x 230 x45mm)
This is a modern adaptation of the class pizza style boxes that have become a staple product for takeaway or packaging companies, with the first patent being applied for in 1963.
Most cardboard pizza boxes use virgin Kraft paper on the outside and Test paper (recycled paper) on the inside. This old style of pizza box will need an additional lining, such as greaseproof paper, between the food and the box, but we have made our burger and pizza boxes differently – ensuring you get a food grade product!
So how do we make our pizza & food boxes food grade?
We have simply flipped around the Kraft and Test paper, putting the virgin Kraft paper on the inside of the box. This not only makes it viable to come into direct contact with food, but it also provides a higher grease resistance.
Improving grease resistance
The virgin Kraft paper we use on the inside of the boxes have a smoother surface than test lined boxes. The fibres are tightly packed making it a lot harder for the grease to penetrate.
Recycled & Recyclable
Not only are these boxes made with 73% recycled paper, they can also be recycled, thanks to the use of the grease resistant paper on the inside.
All the paper used in these product is from FSC sources.
Our Pizza boxes come bundled and shrink wrapped, that way we know that they are kept in a sealed, clean condition within our warehouse. This means that we have better control in keeping them in a controlled environment especially as they are a food grade product.
We have a AA standard BRC accreditation, meaning both the manufacturing and storage facility are both BRC certified.
