This range of compostable, leak proof containers and lids, were developed with performance as the no. 1 objective and they are the first of their kind to be available in the UK. Zume have created a patented lid system for these sturdy bowls, that offers closing performance similar to plastic, but using only plant based, compostable material.
Rectangular Anti-Leak Pulp Bowls
Our rectangular bowls can be used for cold or hot food, which is ideal for takeaway food stalls or delivery services. We currently stock a 750ml or 1000ml rectangular bowl, but we also have round bowls available in 500ml and 750ml. Anti-leak performance
When pairing these natural sugarcane fibre pulp bases with our anti-leak lids, this range can accommodate wet and/or oily foods without the risk of intercompartment or external leakages, they are even comparable to plastic containers in terms of rigidity and closing performance. But don’t just take our word for it, view the leak test here.
Heat Resistant
With a heat range of between -18° and +120°C, these products are safe to use in both the freezer and the microwave, so they are perfect for a whole range of either hot or cold food.
More about Sugarcane Bagasse
All our bagasse range are home compostable – in just 120 days up to 90% of the product can disintegrate at a temperature of around 25°C.
Bagasse is a by-product from the sugarcane industry and is the fibres that remain after the sugarcane stalks have been crushed to extract their juice. The bagasse pulp is a highly sustainable choice of packaging material due to a renewable growth of between 2 to 3 times a year.
