What Features Do Our 7” Cardboard Pizza Boxes Have?

Food grade: Most cardboard pizza boxes use virgin Kraft paper on the outside and Test paper (recycled paper) on the inside.  The problem with this, however, is the need for an additional lining, such as greaseproof paper, between the food and the box.

We made our takeaway pizza boxes a bit differently and flipped around the Kraft and Test paper, putting the virgin Kraft paper on the inside of the box. This not only makes it viable to come into direct contact with food, but it also provides a higher grease resistance.

Improved grease resistance: The virgin Kraft paper we use inside the cardboard pizza boxes has a smoother surface than test-lined boxes. The fibres are tightly packed, making it a lot harder for the grease to penetrate, making it the perfect takeaway packaging solution for cheesy pizzas! 

Recycled and recyclable: Not only are our pizza boxes made with 73% recycled paper, but they can also be recycled, thanks to the grease-resistant paper on the inside.

Shrink-wrapped: Our cardboard pizza boxes come bundled and shrink-wrapped, so we know they are in a sealed, clean condition within our warehouse. This means we can manage them better in a controlled environment — especially as they are a food-grade product.
